I don't want to bury some of these photos away, in the brain of my computer, never to be seen again.
This wasn't the very best of my winter stays in lovely Yamba. Health (including a bout of shingles) let the side down .. but there was many a memorable moment, a bundle of which I have blogged already ...
This is Yamba. My 'Palace' is over Main Beach. Just behind the third tree from the left.
1/14th of the grey roofed, beige-y building droned by someone ... The little bit of road visible behind us is Ocean Street where are situated million (or five) dollar apartment-mansions .. in the front is the delightful (French) Sandbar restaurant where I (who do not go out at night!) celebrated Bastille Day
I nicked that wee flag, and its now gracing my bedroom shelf, in New Zealand, in my 79 year-old silver christening mug.
A few years ago, I used to walk along Ocean Street. Now I can barely make it that far. But with Paulie as a 'carer' I made it to 'my' bench ...

| 2025 Bench & I have both sagged a little |
That is the Palace at the top end of the street. I am on the corner, firmly on the ground floor ...
Lovely big sunny balcony, and a view to the Pacific Ocean at this end of the street ... where the sun rises ...
Wendy, Robert'n'Louis and Paulie all had a stint of being my 'carer' and my 'chauffeur' ...
And Robert introduced us to a sweet spot for 'brunch'. I do brunch. It's only evenings I don't go out!
Bay Street 2464 is a great little café in a wonderful spot ... Spooky Beach.
I've already dilated on the beauties of Spooky ...
I shall miss it. As I shall miss the scrumptious corn and coriander fritters with poached eggs which never got photographed in their entirety, because as soon as they arrived I dove in ..
There are still photos crowding my desktop ...
And most picturesque of all ....
I can't claim this one. It's at dusktime. Paulie and Poppa Rodney went for an evening stroll ...So many sweet memories ..
Thank you my carers, and my Aussie family ... I can still do this ... I must make the most of these times
