My children are a descendant of her and I was aware she had theatre links but have never been able to find any information on her. I hadn't realised she was using her middle name, Wallace, as her stage name. Her daughter Violet's birth was registered with the Father being 'Ernest Hancock - Stockbroker'. The only man I can find who could fit that profile was Ernest Hancock, b. 1857. In 1881 he was in the Census as a Stockbroker. He also lived very close to Emily, but at the time of Violet's birth he had a wife and other children. He later became a writer and journalist, moved to New York where his wife left him and he died in the 1920s. Of course I can't positively link him as the father, but there were certainly no other Ernest Hancock Stockbrokers listed in any London census. I have alway wondered about Emily's acting career and I know we have theatrical posed photos from this period somewhere. Can you please direct me to where I can find more info on productions Emily may have?Daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05342946729216736661noreply@blogger.com
